Our first day

Dear family, today was our first day in the mission.  I must admit that the apartment was less than expected.  A few cracked tiles, a little dirty, old furniture, very small, no dishwasher, a tiny bed.  Other than that...it will be fine.  We have been cleaning and fixing.  The first day we had little chance to do much.  The Underwoods had only one day to show us around.  We went on post and went to a chaplain's briefing for incoming troops.  We were introduced.  We  visited Drum Inn, volunteer dept., spouse information meeting all of which we will be volunteering with.  We met two sets of Elders and a set of sisters who we will be working with.  They are all great.  We got all our keys, etc.  That night we went to institute class.  Four were there and a new sodier came.  We have to pick up the sisters for PEC on Sunday and take food for a linger longer after church.  Pres. Eckersley will be at church on Sun.  Can't wait to get going and getting involved.
We won't add to the blog as often now that we are settled.  We send our love to all!  Happy Birthday to Mitch, Molly and Meg!  We love you!

That looks a lot nicer than all of my apartments. You have already seen so much. It makes me jealous. Great job and our whole family wishes you the best and pray for you nightly.

In Brazil your apartment would be living in luxury. We are glad you arrived safely and now you can go to work. We know you will be a great blessing to the people you serve. The kids send their love and we all wish you the best!

You made it! Sorry to hear about the apartment I'm sure you will adapt quickly. It is exciting to hear that you are getting your feet wet so soon. We are so happy you are safe and blessing lives. Madi prayed for Mrama and Mrampa yawsen last night, so you should be covered for at least one day. We love you!

Congrats Mike and Jen, I think Melissa and Chad have already spoken for the name Lincoln so good luck with that. Mom and Dad, when is your P-Day? Just wondering when it is best to update you in detail?

Bob and Susan,
This is Jeff Lee - I saw your blog off Melissa's blog...congratulations on your mission call! You'll be wonderful missionaries and I'm sure you're loving it back there. Just wanted to say hi, and I know of a great little burger joint just outside of Palmyra if you ever get a chance - it's called "Wards" and it's amazing. Hope all is well, good luck on your mission.
You'll be great!
